One price, two ways to view it
A store serving businesses and consumers needs to accommodate different ways of reading a price. A purchasing team may compare costs before tax, while an individual shopper wants to see the tax-inclusive amount. We developed Tax Display Toggle as an iKetch product so a single storefront can serve both needs through a clear price switch, without separate catalogues or duplicated products.
The challenge: change the display, preserve the store logic
The task went beyond changing the label beside a price. The displayed amount had to follow WooCommerce tax settings, and the customer’s preference had to remain consistent as they browsed. The control also needed to fit different themes and page-builder layouts, including Arabic storefronts and right-to-left reading.
The solution: a simple customer choice with practical store controls
We built a switch between tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive prices that remembers the visitor’s preference. A shortcode makes it possible to place the control within a page, including layouts built with the free version of Elementor. Pro adds floating placement, light and dark appearances, colour controls and alternative control styles so the store team can match its existing design.
Integration across the buying experience
We reviewed the extension with popular WooCommerce themes and checked its Arabic and English presentation. We also integrated it with iKetch Printing Cost Manager so the selected tax display applies to the visible setup fees and printing costs. WooCommerce continues to calculate tax using the store’s configuration; the switch gives visitors control over how prices are presented.
The result: one storefront for different purchasing needs
Store owners can offer a direct price-viewing choice instead of relying on scattered explanatory notes. The project reflects our approach to extension development: understand the customer’s decision, then build a focused feature that works with the existing platform. We delivered Free and Pro editions, integrated paid licensing and updates through Freemius, and provided a demo to help store teams assess the product.
